After years of pen neglect, I've invested in some fancy schmancy markers in an effort to use ink and felts for life drawing work, without getting bogged down by noodly, rendered details. Although I've still got a LONG way to go (and a million more failed attempts), I've been enjoying the spontaneous lines that have started to emerge and want to keep working in this way to build up a confidence in the marks I make.
I'm very new to gouache and I recently decided to pick up a paint brush for the first time in years when I was in the life room a few weeks ago. This is my third Gouache attempt and a quick 10minute study of my housemate Shaun whilst he was drawing in the studio. I need to start working more traditionally with this kind of media!
