Inky Life Work

After years of pen neglect, I've invested in some fancy schmancy markers in an effort to use ink and felts for life drawing work, without getting bogged down by noodly, rendered details. Although I've still got a LONG way to go (and a million more failed attempts), I've been enjoying the spontaneous lines that have started to emerge and want to keep working in this way to build up a confidence in the marks I make.

I'm very new to gouache and I recently decided to pick up a paint brush for the first time in years when I was in the life room a few weeks ago. This is my third Gouache attempt and a quick 10minute study of my housemate Shaun whilst he was drawing in the studio. I need to start working more traditionally with this kind of media!

Pugs is Pugs

So me and my housemates have spent an unacceptable amount of time on pug tumblrs tonight... And I thought it was time I posted these pugs I've had laying around on my computer... I'm actually kind of ashamed of myself right now...

THIS is the grossest video I have EVER seen... Someone needs to push this broad's stroller over!

Sloshed Development

For the past day and a half, I've been developing some characters and a visual style for a potential project called 'Sloshed'. It's about an eclectic bunch of drinkers from a British stately home set in the 1930s, with a slightly alcohol induced Cluedo styled twist.
After months of rearranging, editing and condensing, I also managed to finally finish my 2012 portfolio!:D Although it was fairly finished for a while, I managed to make some last minute edits, changing my first few slides as the layout looked a bit rubbish and flung together, but it definitely made a world of difference to the way it all reads!:D
