Earth Day (was yesterday)...:)

Ok so yesterday was Earth Day, and to mark the occasion, I thought I'd take a break from the masses of Uni work I've been doing and just draw a fun picture for me... I guess he's kinda of an Earth boy, and his mates around him are kinda singing the Happy earth day song... I picture it as more of an attacking wale then a tune... God this concept sounds lame HA... I kinda wish I'd placed him further back on the branch... By now he looks like he may have fallen off... Too his death...

Zoo... Kinda

Some zoo sketches and some faces, based on zoo animals. I made loads of brush pen gestures of the lemurs but they're not around to scan right now. Detailed renders really aren't the best way to attack the whole animal study thing and I definitely failed at capturing motion and energy with these ones... But I had fun!:)

UPDATE: So I finally got round to uploading the pen studies. I need to become way more fluent with the spontaneity of pens as I rely way too heavily on the comfort of pencils and erasers. Maybe I should make a conscious effort to leave my pencils at home :S. It also started to rain as I was drawing the camels face, but I actually really like that you can see the lines starting to blot.
